The Senior Residence Life Leader (RLL) of Summer Accelerator or STEP Up to STEM will be responsible for overseeing and supervising the residential staff. They will act as the liaison between summer programs staff and leadership team. Responsibilities include: supervision of staff and programming, ensuring emergencies are handled properly, communicating with parents, scheduling of staff, dorm assignments, and communicating with school personnel as necessary. This person will be responsible for running staff meetings when on duty and coming up with the best plan of action for check in/out days.
They will work closely with the leadership team in the weeks leading up to summer working on logistical items as well as working to help plan and lead staff training.
Strong candidates will demonstrate the ability to work independently as well as in a team setting, excellent communication skills, ability to supervise a team, and make critical decisions.

NCSSM Summer Accelerator - Morganton
NCSSM Step Up To STEM and INSPIRE - Durham, Morganton, and Elizabeth City
Job Requirements:
-Must be available to work a variety of hours and days, including evenings, weekdays and Sundays, from June 6 - July 29
-Must live on campus during the program
-Current First Aid and CPR Certification
-Be available to work one day per week (Remote) during the month of May 2023.
-Bachelor’s Degree or higher
-At least 3 years experience working with youth, preferably in a residential setting
-Experience developing and leading youth programs
-A valid driver's license and a clean driving record
Preferred Experience
-At least one year experience as an RLL at NCSSM Summer Accelerator
-Experience supervising a team of staff
-Superb communication skills
